South Oakland (3-5) mercy-ruled the Turtles 14-4 and beat the Devils 3-2 this week. In between those games was a 1-0 loss to the Oakmont Lions that was played in the rain, at dusk, without lights. During the rain game, the Ducks lost a player to injury due to poor conditions. The Devils game was moved at the last minute to a field an hour away.

Pitching and defense have been much improved since an 0-4 start. Management is still figuring out where everyone fits, but the mix of young guys and veterans has potential. Overall, the team is playing much better.

South Oakland plays next at 8:15 on Tuesday night at John Herb Field vs. the Bandidos (4-2).

Quack.
