The South Oakland Ducks (1-4) battled back to beat the Bakery Square Bandidos (3-2) by a score of 9-8 at Mellon Park Sunday Morning.
Tom Pulice drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh with a two-out, two-run single. In the bottom half of the frame, Ty Hronec struck out two batters, working around a leadoff double and an error to record the save (1).
The Ducks scored four runs in the top of the fourth to take an 7-4 lead. The Bandidos answered in the bottom of the sixth with four runs before South Oakland took the lead for good on Pulice’s RBI single in the seventh.
Ryan Myers (W, 1-1) scattered nine hits over six innings for the win.
The Ducks lost 15-3 when the two teams met earlier in the season.
